ONSEN-RYOKAN in HAKONE.

I went to HAKONE last month.
HAKONE continues to thrive as an post station since ancient times.
And,HAKONE is ONSEN's town.
"ONSEN" in Kanji is "温(ON)泉(SEN)".
"温" meaning is hot.
"泉" meaning is spring.
In short "ONSEN" is hot-spring in English.
The Kanji of ”温泉" was reflected in this picture.
You can find?

This town stands a lot of inns.
Those Japan style's inns are called "RYOKAN".
And, the natural ONSEN is attached to many of the RYOKAN.
Those RYOKAN are called "ONSEN-RYOKAN".
We can bathe to the ONSEN in the those ONSEN-RYOKAN.
Some RYOKAN can bathe to the ONSEN without staying overnight.
We can enjoy ONSEN with lunch at about 3000 to 5000 yen.

In most cases, ONSEN is big bath.
And, you should bathe with the stranger.
If you think so shameful, I recommended guest room attached to individual ONSEN.
The room where we stayed was this the type.
As you see, A small ONSEN has adhered to the room.
This was the highest!
I have taken bathe as many as six times!
Open bath like the picture is "ROTEN-BURO" in Japanese.
Of course, Have been hidden from the outside.
You can taste highest night.
but, money hangs. :-(

Moreover, There can bathe wearing a swimsuit in "Hakone Yunessan".
There are a lot of strange baths.
Wine bath? Doctor fish in the bath?
What? Why?

There is another fun thing at the RYOKAN.
It's dinner.
Dinner at the inn is mostly Japanese food.
That TEMPURA, SASHIMI, SHABU-SHABU, MISO soup, TAKIKOMI-GOHAN, etc etc, comes out so many dishes.

In most cases, dinner is two type of "eat in the room"or "eat at a restaurant".
It is converted by the room you stay or booking plan.
I recommended "eats in the room".

Toy camera

I enjoy taking photos with a toy camera these days.

toy camera

This toy camera was a supplement to a magazine of "OTONA NO KAGAKU", and I built it up.
Photographs taken with this camera are retro-flavored.
Like this.

at Maldives.

at my town.

I like this.
However, you have to keep in mind the place where to take photos with it.
This camera must be used in well-lighted area.
If you use in a room, the photo would be too dark to print.
I lost two films!
